Social challenges of Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence and machine learning pose have several interesting technical challenges. Normally, working in the field I am mostly interested in those. There are also challenges that affect and should be discussed with the broader society. Social challenges are not less interesting than the technical ones.

I thought about them for a long time, indeed, I started thinking about some things when, immediately after my diploma, I worked at Uptime, a firm that archived documents, including few GB of receipts of Migros per week. My latest work didn’t have any real ethical issues, as it uses simulation data about materials, not any kind of personal data. Nonetheless, I stayed interested also in the bigger picture.

I felt that an important part, especially concerning AI discrimination and racism was missing.

After quite a bit of work on it, I added my article on it to my scattered long term thoughts.

I want to thank my brothers Akram and Semir for constructive criticism and proofreading.

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with a few pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is wonderful blog.

A great read. I’ll certainly be back.

Hey there! I know this is kind of off-topic however I needed to ask. Does building a well-established website such as yours require a large amount of work? I am brand new to blogging however I do write in my diary daily. I’d like to start a blog so I can easily share my experience and views online. Please let me know if you have any kind of recommendations or tips for brand new aspiring bloggers. Thankyou! а

Hi, well my site in not well-establised, and I definitely do not update daily :). I would tell you to just publish your work either with a static site like this, or if you are less technical oriented, using something widely used like

Spam can be a drag, as I discuss in my latest post, even your comment, while looking harmless on the surface did have a suspicious homepage link ( to a forum that purports to discuss “textbooks on the history of the Middle Ages for grade 8“, just like your name, but looking at it it seems to have a strange further link. I haven’t really understood what it is about, but I suspect some sort of spam/underground thing. Still a nice posed question deserves to be answered (I guess I have still too much time in my hands)
